Our outlook on integrating technology in our day-to-day operations focuses on infusing these processes with AI-powered tools, particularly for transforming our programs’ learning experience and enhancing our automation capabilities for complex use cases.

The Digital Innovation Task Force in 2024
Being a volunteer is a significant experience for me for several reasons. The most important aspect is the chance to make a positive change around me. It provides a way through which I can contribute directly to improving the lives of others.
Moreover, beyond the joy of helping, volunteering offers me the chance to grow as a person. Interacting with diverse individuals across various fields challenges me to find creative solutions and improve my communication, organizational and leadership skills, among many others.
Collaboration with the UiPath Foundation is always full of inspiration and motivation. It cannot be otherwise, when there are passionate and dedicated people who share the same vision and the same values.
Working alongside them is always a pleasure, and their enthusiasm is infectious, leaving you energized and motivated.

Own Your Path eLearning Platform
This versatile Moodle platform enables our teachers to create interactive courses, engage students with multimedia content, and facilitate collaborative activities.
Moodle promotes personalized learning pathways, allowing students to progress at their own pace and access resources tailored to their needs. Some of the built-in support systems and custom solutions include:
Azurel the Chatbot
Azurel is an AI-infused chatbot developed in collaboration with DRUID AI that can answer students’ questions or connect them with their Regional Coordinator.
At the 2023 UiPath Hackweek, we partnered with UiPath volunteers to prototype a personal tutoring solution and take Azurel to the next level.
Own Your Path App
The platform was recently made available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app provides an improved user experience, adapted to the devices the students use most, such as the tablets provided in the program.
The apps have increased user engagement and provide us with enhanced analytics to improve their learning experience.
Volunteering with UiPath Foundation has truly enriched my life, nurturing my personal growth, broadening my network, and imbuing me with a profound sense of fulfillment through my efforts to support the children within the program.
Additionally, my engagement in the Caleidoscope project has served as a platform for me to develop and polish my social skills. Working alongside them brings me immense joy, and I feel privileged to give back to the community in such a meaningful way.
Zoom Plugin
Enables synchronous meetings, custom cyberbullying reporting mechanisms, as per our Child Safeguarding Policy and Livresq authoring tool for building interactive courses.
Own Your Path Onboarding Module
Developed to process all student recommendations received from partner teachers, automate document processing and digitally sign scholarship contracts with beneficiaries and their legal representatives. In key areas of this process, we benefited from the support of several UiPath volunteers whose knowledge around the areas of intelligent document processing, web development and automation has proven to be invaluable.
Contributing to this initiative was a special experience, allowing me to significantly impact how students in underserved communities have access to technology. Volunteering offers me the perfect means to contribute to a bigger cause and offer equal learning opportunities to all children.

We implemented Intelligent Document Processing technology into our workflows with the support of the UiPath Center of Excellence and automated the extraction process of student information from identity documents. This automated process saves valuable time for our partner teachers and team.

Salesforce for NonProfits
Implementing Salesforce for NGOs has streamlined our operations, enhanced outreach, and maximised impact. With the help of the platform’s robust data management capabilities, we can gain valuable insights into our operations and beneficiaries, facilitating informed decision-making and targeted outreach efforts.
UiPath volunteers with this niche know-how were key to the process design, architecture setup and data import efforts, helping us understand the full capabilities of the platform and its uses.
I was deeply impressed by the impact technology can have on the lives of those in underserved communities. As a volunteer, I have dedicated myself to personalizing a platform for managing relationships between the Foundation, children, and volunteers, and the fact that I have managed to offer my expertise in Salesforce to create this platform is a way that I can use my technical skills to benefit those who need them.
Automating through UiPath Studio and StudioX
With the help of several volunteers and UiPath’s comprehensive Business Automation, we automated several processes involving document processing and communication with our beneficiaries, including
Document generation robots
that create documents based on several templates in a matter of seconds
Mailing robots
that streamline the communication flows with students and partners
Scheduling robots
that eliminate the need to manually align calendars to accommodate scheduling constraints
Citizen Developer Program
UiPath’s program for Business Users has proven to be immensely beneficial for our team. In 2024, 28% of UiPath Foundation team members are certified Citizen Developers. The program has empowered our team to unlock the full potential of automation and amplify the impact of our initiatives.
