How we are showing up for Romania’s next generation
A new partnership brings AI literacy, English tutoring, and real-world role models to high school students in vulnerable communities across Romania.
We are excited to announce that UiPath Foundation and VOX Solutions are entering a year-long partnership to help high school students from underserved communities in Romania build the skills and confidence they need to shape their own futures.
With more than 1,100 students already enrolled in Own Your Path across Romania, VOX Solutions now joins the program to support a dedicated cohort of 100 students — with AI education, English tutoring, digital tools, monthly scholarships, and direct access to professionals who can broaden their horizons.
Why this matters
According to the latest available Eurostat data, the numbers tell a clear story. 33.8% of children under 18 in Romania are at risk of poverty or social exclusion, nearly ten percentage points above the EU average of 24.2%. When it comes to digital skills, only 27.7% of Romania’s population has basic digital literacy, compared to 55.6% across the EU. And foreign language proficiency remains limited: more than half of Romania’s working-age population speaks no foreign language at all.
For young people growing up in the country’s most vulnerable communities, these gaps compound. Without access to digital tools, language training, or role models outside their immediate environment, the path from high school to a stable career can feel impossibly far away.
That is the challenge this partnership is designed to address, not with a one-off intervention, but with a sustained, multi-layered commitment to real opportunity.
Own Your Path: the program at the heart of the partnership
Own Your Path is one of UiPath Foundation’s flagship educational programs, launched in 2023 and now supporting over 1,100 high school students across 18 counties and the cities of Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. The program recruits students in their first year of high school and walks alongside them for all four years of their studies.
Students learn entirely online through the Own Your Path digital educational platform, built from the ground up for the program, complemented by annual in-person gatherings where the community comes together face to face.
Students in the program receive:
- Tablets and secured internet connections
- Access to the Own Your Path digital educational platform
- Monthly scholarships to help families support their children’s education
- Weekly English tutoring, grouped by level
- Digital skills and AI literacy courses
- Sense of Possibility sessions (professionals sharing their career stories with high schoolers)
- Community meetings
- Psychological counselling when needed
Participation and retention rates speak for themselves: more than 80% of students stay engaged throughout the program. Scholarships are tied to school attendance and program activity, creating a virtuous cycle of accountability and support.
What VOX Solutions brings to the table
VOX Solutions is a technology and communications company with deep expertise in AI-driven solutions. Through this partnership, VOX is stepping into the role of a dedicated impact investor in education, contributing financial resources and, equally valuable, its people.
Throughout 2026, VOX employees will volunteer as inspiring speakers bringing their stories and expertise directly into students’ lives through Sense of Possibility sessions.
Eight interactive online sessions throughout the year, each led by one or two VOX professionals on topics chosen to spark curiosity and open new perspectives: from financial literacy and entrepreneurship to online safety, tech careers, and the courage of being yourself. Each session is open to all 1,100 high schoolers enrolled in Own Your Path, giving every student the chance to be part of the conversation.
VOX Solutions was founded in Romania, and our roots here continue to shape who we are and what we stand for. Through this partnership with UiPath Foundation, we are investing in the future of Romania’s talent ecosystem because we believe the next great innovators are already out there. What we aim to achieve together
We have set clear, measurable goals for this partnership:
- 100 students receiving monthly scholarships to stay in school + the educational package
- 90% of AI course participants earning a graduation diploma
- 85% participation across all educational activities
- 8 Sense of Possibility sessions led by VOX volunteers throughout the year and open to all 1,100 high schoolers enrolled in the program
But the numbers only capture part of the story. What we are most excited about is the intangible shift that happens when a teenager from Romania sits face to face with a professional who once stood where they stand — and who tells them: you can do this.
Looking ahead: #GuidingVoices by VOX
Throughout the year, we will be documenting the stories that emerge from this partnership. The #GuidingVoices by VOX campaign will spotlight the volunteers and the students whose lives intersect through this program, through a volunteer gallery on the UiPath Foundation website, and quarterly spotlight stories from the partnership.
VOX Solutions saw what we’re building for teenagers in underserved communities and didn’t hesitate to join forces. That kind of trust and alignment is rare and powerful. They stand as an example of what impact-driven partnerships can become when built on a shared conviction about what young people deserve, and the willingness to invest in making it real.
