About the Project

In 2026, UiPath Foundation and ING Bank Romania are joining forces to bring education about Artificial Intelligence to as many high schools across the country as possible.

Artificial Intelligence is no longer the technology of the future, it is the reality of the present. High school students in Romania already use AI-based tools every day: to search for information, to create content, to make decisions

The question is no longer whether they will encounter AI, but how prepared they are to understand it, use it responsibly, and evaluate it critically.

The answer starts with teachers. AI Ready Teachers places emphasis on the continuous development of teaching competencies in the digital era, offering resources and strategies for integrating AI creatively and efficiently in day-to-day lessons, so that every teacher can become a guide in preparing students for the challenges of the future.

Starting from our pilot carried out during the 2025–2026 school year, in which 20 high school teachers were trained and reached nearly 400 students from 12 counties and 16 high schools across subjects such as history, chemistry, psychology, and English, UiPath Foundation is now expanding the project to a national level.

AI Ready Teachers has four components: the accredited course, the practice and learning community, webinars, and a bootcamp.

Project Components

Accredited Course

The central element of the program is the “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI): Tools, Ethics, and AI-Assisted Teaching” course. It is accredited by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research and dedicated to high school teachers across Romania. The course helps them integrate AI competencies into the educational process and awards graduates 2 ECTS credits.

Format

asynchronous training hours

sessions/week

online

What does the course offer?

An accessible and applied introduction to the fundamental concepts of AI, from algorithms and data to generative AI and concrete tools
An ethical and responsible perspective on the use of AI in education and society
Practical strategies and resources for integrating AI in any school subject
The confidence and competencies needed to teach about AI and with AI, regardless of teaching specialisation

Recunoaștere

A participation diploma from UiPath Foundation
2 ECTS credits and a continuing education certificate
A competency and module sheet for the completed topics

Practice Community

Learning doesn’t end when the course does. Teachers who complete the course and wish to continue honing their skills in practice are invited to become part of a practice and mentoring community, a space for exchanging ideas and inspiration dedicated to the ongoing integration of AI in the classroom.

Benefits for participating teachers

Access to updated resources and best practice examples from peers in the learning community
Periodic sessions for exchanging experience and co-creating teaching materials
Mentoring from UiPath Foundation trainers and experts
A network of motivated teachers who experiment and innovate together

Webinars

The project also includes a series of webinars on the topic of artificial intelligence in education, addressed to all curious teachers about how they can integrate AI into educational processes, regardless of their level of familiarity with technology.

The webinars cover a series of current topics, presented in an accessible way, with direct applicability in the classroom. They are free, online, and designed for any teacher who wants to rethink their teaching process with the help of AI tools.

The first webinar in this series will take place on 18 May 2026 and will be on the subject ‘Generative AI in Education: Useful Tools for Teachers’.

Bootcamp

The teachers who have graduated the course and showed remarkable motivation and commitment for integrating AI in education will be invited to participate in this intense, applied learning experience: the AI Ready Teachers Bootcamp, happening in-person, in Bucharest.

The bootcamp is designed as a space for deepening and experimentation, where the most enthusiastic graduates of the accredited course will explore more advanced topics related to the use of Artificial Intelligence in education. They will create innovative teaching materials and projects and will receive direct support to become ambassadors of AI-assisted education in their school communities.

Participation in the Bootcamp is by invitation only, based on each individual’s progress throughout the accredited course. Participation costs are covered by UiPath Foundation and ING Romania
